MITCHEL'S CHIMNEY & MASONRY SPECIALISTS, INC. IS "HEATING UP THE COMMUNITY"
The holidays are a time for giving, and many of us give to local charities every christmas, this holiday season Mitchel' s Chimney would like to say thank you by giving $300.00 off a new Fireplace, wood, Pellet or Gas stove or insert (gas log set not included) when you bring us a copy of your charity receipt. Furthermore you will be able to continue giving because for every 10 heating appliances we sell we will give a new heating appliance to a charity in need
Don't worry if you haven't given yet, your donation receipts can be dated anytime between Dec 1, 2011 and March 15th, 2012. Qualifiying receipts must be to a registered charity with a tax Id number, they must give back to our local community in Fairfax and Prince William County and their main focus would be keeping low income families, fixed income elderly and children and women protected, in decent homes with safe heating this holiday season.
As the economic downturn takes its toll on struggling families, there has been an increase in child neglect cases and domestic abuse because some families have lost their jobs and do not have the means to pay their energy bills, keep proper roofs over their head and the stress causes a spike in domestic abuse and child neglect. Many of these neglect cases are children living in homes without heat.
Also due to the cost of home heating oil and the many government assistance cut backs the elderly whose fixed incomes are not getting them to the end of the month can no longer afford to keep heating oil and other means of safe energy in their homes.
Give the gift of heat this holiday season. The hope is that this effort will increase our local charities ability to continue their mission statement of keeping our community in decent homes, with safe heating appliances.
Check our resources page for a list of suggested charities to choose from but you can choose any registered charity that helps the homeless, gives elderly assistance, fights against domestic violence, reburbishes homes, builds homes, gives heating fuel assistance or any child advocacy group. etc....for more information on "Heating up the Community" please see contact information at the bottom of this page.
If you are a charity who is in need of finding safe heating appliances for your organization please contact us.
